Fall Tour Highlights

Fall Tour is in full swing!  We will be visiting several new markets this fall, such as Indiana, Michigan, Deleware, North Carolina, Kentucky and Alabama.  We will also be going back to some of our favorite places -  Maryland/DC, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska.

We kicked off the tour in Indianapolis with 800 students from Herron High School at Redeemer Presbyterian Church.  First time sponsor, Sarah Boston of Bookends Financial Planning Group of Raymond James, enjoyed the experience so much she is already planning another event for next Fall

Donor Event - Indianapolis
September 8, 2016
Hosts Sarah and JJ Boston opened their restaurant, Chef JJ’s Downtown, to 60 FtF Supporters for an evening featuring an acoustic performance by GOODING, a Silent Auction, and delicious pairings of local Indy microbrews with JJ’s signature Green Egg cuisine. The event raised $2,120 in funding for Herron HS and Funding the Future.
Future Donor Events are planned for Miami and Denver.  Keep an eye on your inbox for announcements of events near you!

Another first-time sponsor, Colleen Schon of Anthem Advisors of Raymond James, sponsored three events in the Detroit area last week.  We presented to 1,150 students from Grand Blanc, Flint Southwestern Academy, and Walled Lake Northern High schools.  Colleen would like to bring the band back to participate in Detroit Money week in April 2017.

"You guys were great! I learned a lot about money from you and I appreciate you taking time to come to my school."

Board Minutes

In October we will reprise our successful Razoo crowdfunding campaign, with a fundraising goal of $2,500 to support the new FtF Bus Fund.  The Bus Fund will help schools defray the cost of student transportation to and from FtF events.  $5 can guarantee that a child can attend an FtF Presentation.  Please give generously, and help spread the word via your personal and business social media networks. Thank you!

Keeping up with Technology
Raymond Jame's IT staff developed a wonderful resource that we are rolling out during the Fall tour. The Raymond James Life Goals website is an interactive website, students can go to play, explore, and reinforce their  FtF Experience.  Check it out at

In order to "Glitz" up presentation visuals for tech-savvy audiences, GOODING has begun Prezi to engage audiences.  The band debuted the new format at the Indianapolis and Michigan performances.

We also integrated the use of a QR codes for students to scan on their smartphones. These QR codes take them directly to the FtF quiz page, and the Raymond James Life Goals website.
